Job description
Job Responsibilities
· Development and maintenance of event risk control strategies
· Establish and maintain a comprehensive framework for event risk control: risk stratification and scenario classification, access control, collaborative governance of rules and models, strategy layering, and customer segmentation.
· Standardize the management of risk control strategy metrics, including recall rate/precision rate/false positive rate monitoring.
· Pre-event risk assessment
· Conduct pre-event risk assessments and simulations for various activities (including user acquisition, task-based rewards, airdrops, trading competitions, NFT events, staking, liquidity incentive programs, etc.).
· Estimate risk penetration rates and risk exposure, define access conditions and risk thresholds, and conduct stress tests on reward mechanisms.
· Real-time monitoring and response
· Iterate on real-time monitoring and early warning systems: abnormal conversion rates, device/address clustering, capital flow loops, abnormal frequency, and threshold breaches.
· Design and optimize response strategies for behaviors such as gang fraud, bot attacks, coupon abuse, and multi-account arbitrage.
· Post-event review and reporting
· Generate systematic risk analysis reports covering: types of fraud and attack chains, interception effectiveness (recall rate/precision rate/false positive rate), loss estimates, net ROI increments, and actionable optimization suggestions.
· Integrate risk profiles, rules, and scenarios, and continuously iterate based on the latest threat intelligence.
· Cross-department collaboration
· Work closely with business, growth, data science, engineering, compliance, and customer service teams to embed risk control measures into business workflows.
· Support emergency response during major fraud incidents and lead post-event reviews.
· Data-driven strategy optimization
· Proficient in using SQL and Python to analyze large-scale user behavior datasets, build risk feature libraries, and validate strategy effectiveness.
· Design and execute A/B experiments to assess effectiveness and continuously monitor risk metrics.
Job Requirements
· Work Experience
· Over 5 years of practical experience in risk control, anti-fraud, or fraud risk strategy, with at least 2 years specifically in event risk control/growth risk control (mandatory).
· Mature experience in independently leading and implementing at least 2 large-scale event risk control projects.
· Technical Skills
· Proficient in using SQL and Python (pandas/numpy) for complex data extraction, feature engineering, and analysis.
· Familiar with BI and data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Looker, Metabase).
· Understanding of rule engines, risk decision systems, and A/B testing methodologies.
· Knowledge of machine learning (XGBoost, logistic regression) and anomaly detection algorithms is a plus.
· Industry Knowledge
· Deep understanding of the Web3/crypto ecosystem — familiar with common exchange products (spot, contracts, wealth management, staking, launchpad) and corresponding risk types (wash trading, layered transfers, cross-market arbitrage).
· Experience with on-chain analysis tools (Nansen, Dune Analytics, Arkham) and address profiling is preferred.
· Soft Skills
· Strong systematic thinking ability — able to break down complex fraud patterns into structured frameworks, rules, and decision trees.
· Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to translate data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
· Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
