Job description
We are seeking an experienced Blockchain Lead Developer to lead the architecture, development, security, and scaling of our decentralized exchange (DEX) platform. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in DeFi protocols, smart contract development, blockchain infrastructure, and team leadership. You will drive technical strategy while remaining hands-on in building mission-critical trading and liquidity systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of DEX protocols, including AMMs, liquidity pools, staking, yield farming, and token swap mechanisms.
Architect and develop secure smart contracts using Solidity, Rust, or other blockchain-native languages.
Oversee blockchain infrastructure, node operations, indexing services, and on-chain analytics systems.
Design scalable backend services, APIs, and real-time data pipelines supporting trading operations.
Implement security best practices, conduct code reviews, and coordinate smart contract audits.
Optimize transaction efficiency, gas costs, protocol performance, and user experience.
Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver new DeFi features.
Mentor blockchain engineers and establish development standards and best practices.
Stay current with emerging DeFi, Layer-2, cross-chain, and Web3 technologies.
Required Skills
7+ years of software engineering experience.
4+ years of blockchain development experience.
Strong expertise in Solidity and EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base).
Experience building DeFi protocols, DEXs, AMMs, liquidity systems, or trading infrastructure.
Deep understanding of ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-4626, and tokenomics.
Knowledge of smart contract security, vulnerabilities, and audit processes.
Experience with Web3 libraries such as Ethers.js, Viem, Web3.js, or Wagmi.
Strong backend development skills in Node.js, Go, Rust, or Python.
Experience with distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with perpetual DEXs, order-book exchanges, or derivatives trading protocols.
Knowledge of cross-chain bridges, interoperability protocols, and Layer-2 ecosystems.
Experience with MEV mitigation, oracle integrations, and protocol governance systems.
Previous contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
Familiarity with Solana, Cosmos, or other non-EVM ecosystems.
Leadership Responsibilities
Define blockchain architecture and technical roadmap.
Lead technical decision-making and protocol design.
Manage sprint planning and engineering execution.
Conduct architecture reviews and security assessments.
Mentor and grow the blockchain engineering team.
