Job description
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the core systems of the game server, including business modules such as accounts, characters, backpacks, quests, events, leaderboards, and guilds.
2. Complete communication protocol, business logic, and data storage design according to game play requirements, collaborating with the Unity3D client for joint debugging and launch.
3. Responsible for server performance optimization, identifying and resolving latency, resource usage, database bottlenecks, and service stability issues in high-concurrency scenarios.
4. Ensure the correctness and consistency of game data, handling scenarios such as concurrent operations, duplicate requests, disconnection reconnections, and exception recovery.
5. Implement authoritative verification on the server side, ensuring security control over key processes such as login, item distribution, transactions, payments, and settlements to prevent data tampering, request replay, and business logic vulnerabilities.
6. Improve logging, monitoring, alerting, and automated deployment processes, participating in online fault troubleshooting, emergency handling, and problem retrospectives.
7. Write technical design and interface documentation, participate in code reviews, and continuously improve server-side code quality and development efficiency.
Requirements
1. 3 years or more of server-side development experience, with experience in game server development; participated in the development or ongoing operation of at least one officially launched game.
2. Proficient in at least one server-side development language such as Go, Java, C++, or C#, with good coding habits and independent module design capabilities.
3. Familiar with common network protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, and WebSocket, understanding connection management, heartbeat, timeout, retry, and message serialization mechanisms.
4. Proficient in using relational databases such as MySQL and Redis, with experience in table structure design, index optimization, slow query analysis, and cache design.
5. Understand multithreading, asynchronous programming, and concurrency control, capable of handling race conditions, deadlocks, duplicate executions, and data consistency issues.
6. Familiar with Linux development and runtime environments, able to locate online issues through logs, monitoring, and performance analysis tools.
7. Familiar with common distributed system designs, understanding mechanisms such as idempotency, rate limiting, circuit breaking, message queues, and fault recovery, able to apply them reasonably in conjunction with business.
8. Have a security awareness of untrusted clients, capable of independently implementing identity authentication, permission verification, key business verification, and interface abuse prevention measures.
9. Possess good communication and collaboration skills, able to cooperate with planning, client, and testing teams, independently advancing functions from requirement analysis to online delivery.
Supplementary Requirements for Senior Positions
1. 5 years or more of server-side development experience, having led the design of game core systems or server architecture.
2. Practical experience in high concurrency or large-scale online businesses, able to explain capacity planning, performance bottlenecks, and optimization effects with actual data.
3. Ability to independently troubleshoot and handle complex online faults, capable of driving systemic improvements.
4. Able to undertake technical solution reviews, oversee key modules, and guide junior and intermediate engineers.
Bonus Points
1. Experience in real-time battles, frame synchronization, state synchronization, matchmaking, or cross-server system development.
2. Experience in game payments, economic systems, transaction systems, and anti-cheat related experience.
3. Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud services, with practices in automated deployment and elastic scaling.
4. Experience in stress testing, capacity assessment, gray releases, data migration, or zero-downtime updates.
5. Familiar with the Unity3D client collaboration process, able to quickly locate client-server interaction issues.
