Brazil Business Development Manager — Payments
Office Mode: base Latin America
Salary Range: Base salary + performance bonus/business commission

StarPago is a fintech platform providing one-stop payment solutions for global enterprise clients, mainly serving global collection, bulk payment, foreign exchange, and corporate account services.
We help cross-border enterprises, e-commerce platforms, digital entertainment platforms, and other international merchants efficiently complete fund collection, supplier and partner payments, multi-currency exchange, and fund management through APIs and local payment networks.
As our business in Brazil grows, we are looking for a business development manager who is fluent in Portuguese, familiar with the Brazilian business environment, and willing to delve into the local market to work with the CEO and core team to advance Brazil's local payment capabilities and business collaborations.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for StarPago's business development and local partnership building in the Brazilian market;
2. Accompany the CEO to visit banks, payment institutions, acquiring institutions, PSPs, and other fintech partners in the Latin America region;
3. Identify and promote local collection, payment, foreign exchange, and fund settlement collaborations in Brazil;
4. Develop merchants with Brazilian payment needs, such as cross-border enterprises, e-commerce platforms, gaming, and digital entertainment platforms;
5. Conduct customer communication, demand research, business negotiations, and partnership maintenance in Portuguese;
6. Gain a deep understanding of customers' fund flows, transaction scales, payment methods, settlement cycles, and API access needs;
7. Coordinate internal product, technology, operations, risk control, and compliance teams to drive projects from demand confirmation, business quoting, contracting to launch;
8. Collect information on the Brazilian payment market, competitors, fee levels, regulatory policies, and local payment methods;
9. Participate in screening and managing local service providers, channel partners, and potential team members in Brazil;
10. Responsible for business outcomes such as valid opportunities, signed clients, cooperative channels, and transaction scales.
Requirements
1. Portuguese can be used as a business working language, able to independently host meetings and participate in business negotiations; Chinese can be used as an internal working language;
2. Experience in payments, cross-border payments, fintech, banking, acquiring, e-wallets, or related industries;
3. Basic understanding of Pay-in, Payout, foreign exchange, settlement, or API payment products;
4. Strong B2B business development, customer demand analysis, and collaboration promotion skills;
5. Ability to adapt to cross-time zone collaboration and local business trips in Latin America;
6. Strong self-drive and execution ability, able to independently seek resources, solve problems, and promote implementation in the early stages of business.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working, studying, living, or local business development in Brazil;
2. Familiarity with Pix, Boleto, card acquiring, and the Brazilian local bank transfer system;
3. Resources from Brazilian banks, PSPs, acquiring institutions, fintech companies, or local merchants;
4. Resources from cross-border e-commerce, gaming platforms, digital entertainment, or internet platform clients;
5. Experience in payment channel access, business quoting, transaction fee negotiation, or major client sales;
6. Proficiency in English or Spanish is a plus
